CEO / Founder
Our CEO Jenny achieved her PhD in Mucosal Immunology from the University of Bristol in 2008, and has since gathered over 18 years of research experience in gastrointestinal disease. She has been responsible for developing the science behind Ferrocalm and bringing it to market over the past few years.

CTO
A Senior Lecturer in Infectious Disease at the University of Bristol’s Veterinary School, our CTO Tristan has 20 years of experience in gastrointestinal disease research under his belt.
After achieving his PhD in Infectious Diseases from Exeter in 2001, he’s gone on to work with a number of companies across Europe and North America to advise and carry out the development of novel antimicrobial agents.

CHAIRPERSON
After achieving his PhD in Biochemistry at Queen’s University Belfast, John has gathered over 30 years experience in drug development, due diligence and licensing in multinational and early biotech companies such as Eli Lilly, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Hunter-Fleming and Merrion Pharmaceuticals.
Alongside his role at Ferrocalm, he is acting CEO at drug discovery company Transcriptogen and Chair for pHion Therapeutics.

After achieving his PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry from Ulster University in 2002, Le Roy went on to gain significant expertise in research commercialisation and business development.
He now works at Ulster University, as a Business Development Manager in their Biomedical Sciences Research Institute. He is also CEO of GreenLight, a pharmaceutical company with a range of natural food supplement products.

CLINICAL ADVISOR
Chris is a consultant gastroenterologist with over 30 years of experience, specialising in inflammatory bowel disease. He has published over 140 original papers, edited 5 textbooks and contributed to many others.
In 2011, he was appointed Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Liverpool, and since has acted as the Vice Chair and National Secretary for Clinical Advisor’s Committee of Crohn’s and Colitis UK, National Medical Advisor to Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association and sits on several British Society of Gastroenterology committees.
